Then we have Brazilian superstar Sérgio Mendes for you (with his Brazil ’66? ’77? ’86? We’ve lost count.)

This is the creator of the fantastically timeless Mas Que Nada, probably familiar to you in the version by/with Black Eyed Peas or many other remixes?

Apparently it all started under impulse of that other legend, Antonio Carlos Jobim. His trademark? Bossa nova with shots of funk and jazz, up to and including cheerful music hall entertainment like his contribution to the Rio-soundtrack or a resolute ballade like Never Gonna Let You Go.

There must have been more than 50 releases by now, with a Grammy even – for his Brasileiro in ’92!?
