In his own words and those of people who knew him and the people he rescued, Gilberto Bosques describes his experiences in Marseilles as Mexico´s Consul General in France between 1939 and 1942, where he saved thousands of Spanish Republicans, Jews, socialists, communists and all sorts of people who were fleeing the Nazis.
